Today’s Employee Spotlight is on Laura Osenkarski, Phone Boss Extraordinaire/Client Relations/Front Desk Reception, at Florida Fence. Laura is the alpha pup when it comes to answering phones, scheduling clients, and keeping the reception area welcoming. She is also the wonderful person who walks me and my pack – Leo, Renna, and True, when it is time for us to do our business. And sometimes we fake it just so she will take us outside…but I think she might be on to us. Even so, she always has a big smile and a kind belly rub for us canines, and that smile seems to beam constantly on humans, too. If she had a tail, I bet it would be constantly wagging.
Laura, please tell us a little bit about your pack at home. Who lives with you in your den?
My sweetheart Daniel and I have five children. Their names are Dylan, Nathan, Lucas, Bria, and Joziah. They range in age from 3 to 15, so as you can imagine, I am pretty busy.
Ummm – another human who hasn’t mentioned any dogs, but ok, moving on… what are some of your hobbies and interests?
I am really interested in arts and crafts, and love to create cool new things. I am somewhat of an amateur photographer and enjoy taking photos of my children. I am also very into gardening.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us, or that we couldn’t tell by sniffing you.
I bake my children’s birthday cakes and holiday cakes, and they look professional. I also am a crack shot with a rifle!
What three words would the rest of your litter use to describe you?
Friendly, caring, and sweet.
If you could change places with any other person who would it be and why? They can be past or present historical figures.
I would not change places with anyone, because then I would not have the life I have now.
If you could only have one type of kibble for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Steak and potatoes.
What is the best advice you have ever been given? You know, like let sleeping dogs lie…a smart bit of advice in my own humble opinion.
At this moment in time, my mom’s advice about how to stay sane with five children is very important to me.
Finally, Picket asked Laura what made her tail wag the most, and Laura answered,
Swimming in the pool with my kids. We always have fun. And having time to do my hobbies, because I don’t get that time alone very much.
Picket and the rest of us at Florida Fence are proud to have Laura as part of our team, and we are sure once you get to know her you will agree!
